Are you desperate to get stuck into a reno but aren’t sure where to start?

Are you worried about taking on dodgy tradies but not sure which questions to ask?

Do you feel overwhelmed, in a spin, a little clueless and scared about spending all of your savings without getting the results you want?

If the answer to any of these is yes then HOORAY, you’re in the right place!

I believe creating your dream home should be incredible, so I help busy beginner renovators go from feeling confused and in crisis to confident and in control, saving a ton of time and money in the process, through simple, easy, supportive and fun renovation courses and consultations. I’ve already helped thousands of people through their renovation via my tips and advice and I’d love to help you too!

A bit about me.

Hi, I’m Kate Sandhu

Thank you for stopping by! I’m Kate, founder of Kate Sandhu Renovation, the Instagram account @renovatelikekate and The Beginner Renovators Club. I have a Masters in Management, 15 years’ experience in project management and renovations and have already helped thousands of newbie renovators with renovation advice, so you’re in the right place!

I come from a family of serial renovators, builders and architects and grew up in mid-renovated period properties, so I guess you could say that renovation is in my blood! I know first hand that the world of renovation is at best confusing and at worst downright daunting (think cowboy builders and being left with a hole in my house) and I want to change that because I believe that renovation can change your life and open so many doors!

So, I’ve brought together all of my personal experience plus my family knowledge to teach beginner renovators how to design, plan and manage their renovations with confidence, keeping to timeframes and saving thousands in the process; all with simple talk, no jargon and even some fun thrown in!

I just want to say thank you so much for the hard work you put into this course. It’s absolutely invaluable and hasn’t just helped with planning, it’s provided a whole foundation of calm and clarity that I think I’d probably have gone to pieces without.  Thank you!

Hannah Waterman - Beginner Renovator's Bible 2022

Before starting the course, I felt really overwhelmed. Although I had renovated my previous home, I hadn’t done anything structural. This course has given me knowledge and more confidence to approach tradespeople, understand better what I need and that I need to take my time in preparation. Kate is really knowledgeable and delivers information in a way that is understandable, she is approachable and supportive. I’m not quite sure where I would have started if it wasn’t for this course.

Yes, that is a hole in my house

' When I look back to our last renovation now I honestly can’t believe what we lived through. I know that sounds dramatic, and candidly, if the worst we’ve had thrown at us is a house renovation then it can’t be too bad right? But it was so so tough. We really wanted...

To be honest, it was never really a question for us, my parents have been doing up our houses since I can remember, we’ve always lived in period properties that they have pulled apart and between them can basically build anything so when we decided to sell our new...

So, why is a woman in her mid (ok late) 30’s talking about renovations?!  Because its my passion and I know what I’m talking about. I've lived and breathed renovations since I can remember and I’ve got the life lessons to prove it. I’m from Warrington, a salt of the...
